Battle Romans Barbarians

This is not just a chess set, but an artistic creation composed of 32 pieces crafted primarily from marble dust from the Carrara quarries.
After construction, the pieces are individually finished, aged, and hand-painted by master craftsmen; the entire process takes place in Italy.

This chess set faithfully reproduces the Roman and Barbarian armies, inspired by the famous "Battle of Chalon-sur-Marne" (451 AD), in which the Romans, led by General Flavius Aetius, defeated the Huns led by Attila. One of the most decisive battles in history, which, while not marking the end of Attila's rule, represented his first major defeat.

The figures feature rich detail, with names and historical inscriptions engraved on the base of the pieces.
The set comes in its own molded case and includes the chessboard shown in the photo.

One piece is missing: the knight on the white side.

Available in BIG size:
King approximately 13.5 cm tall.

Being entirely handcrafted, the pieces may present small variations in shade or millimetres in height.
